I use this thing every day. It's amazing. Some things that were difficult to shake or mix by hand have become an easy enjoyable task. It is stainless steel so it cleans up quickly. It's small so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It never gets put away because I use it so often. It is top heavy so you have to be careful to take the drive unit off when you're done with your blending chore. Perfect kitchen tool for a single guy.

Great product while it worked, but as stated by others, the teeth that connect the motorized unit to the chopping/whisking units are made out of plastic. After a few used, the teeth were stripped and rendered the entire set useless.

Purchased a unit at Macy's for my daughter for Christmas at her request. Found it MUCH cheaper at Costco so decided to pick one up for myself since she raved about hers. My primary objective was to make fruit smoothies and frozen drinks. I LOVE IT!!! I was sure the bowl would be flying all over the place the minute I but the blender into it, but it worked perfectly, blending crushed ice, milk and fruit to a perfect silky consistency. No fruit stuck under the blade like in conventional blenders. The mixing took seconds and there was not one shred of ice or fruit left unblended. I was hoping to shed a few pounds making some low fat shakes. Now I'm so thrilled with using the unit that I might gain a few pounds experimenting with new recipes, Made a great cheese dip...blended one inch cubes of cheddar with no problem. This is a fabulous gadget. At the price I paid, if it does break as some describe I will run out and rebuy it. But I won't live without it!

I put this blender on my wedding registry because I wanted to blend soups, etc because I actually don't own a blender. I have used it to blend soups and tomato sauce, etc. It is good for that, but you have to be careful to hold it above the bottom of the soup because it becomes like a suction and in order to pull it up you have to turn it off. If you hold it too high, hot soup will splatter all over you. You have to put it in the middle, but also have to make sure that you stir with it too, so that everything will be the same consistency. It does blend very well. It is good at that. I haven't tried to use it yet to blend drinks, but maybe I will. However, the cup that they give you just fits the blender head, and splashes all over the place when you try to make drinks in it. Maybe because the neck is so wide.
the chopper on the other hand, I haven't been able to use correctly. Now reading other reviews, it appears that is because it never worked right. I would try to put garlic cloves in it, etc and it wouldn't chop them at all. I tried putting liquid in with the garlic, well oil, and that didn't help at all. I had wanted this for small jobs, so I didn't have to haul out my kitchenaid huge food processor.
It is very easy to clean, etc. It doesn't store well though because it didn't come with a place to put any of the other parts so they end up all over your cabinets, etc. I would recommend Cuisinart because I know it is a good brand, and the blending power of this immersion blender is great, but I would choose a model that doesn't have the added attachments, and maybe a slimmer neck.

Great product when it works, but when the gears strip out, which will happen,
the blender is useless. After 4 months use, it quit working...plastic gears
in the Motor Body Housing wore down. Only the top 1/8 " of the plastic gear does the work.
We are buying a different brand! Please check other reviews.
